Meet the person behind Stuarthome CKCS...


Kathryn Yonkers is a former university professor and she currently works in the area of public health education and promotion teamed with academia. Her interest is in assisting people with disabilities and support Cavaliers as wonderful therapy dogs.  Picture at the bottom of the page is a beautiful Stuarthome Cavalier...Max is a Delta Certified Therapy Dog along with being a Read to Me dog.

 
 

 
On the national level, Kathryn is a voting member of the AKC Parent Club, The American Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club in which she is a member of the health committee and as ACKCSC research liaison to the AKC Canine Health Foundation. Ms. Yonkers is a Trustee with the ACKCSC Charitable Trust, and a Founding Partner of the ACKCSC Charitable Trust.

While serving in those positions, she was involved with the first international ACKCSC Breed Survey; this landmark survey was conducted by Dr. Glickman of Purdue University. On the local level, Kathryn served as the founding President  and now current President of the CKCSC of Greater Kalamazoo, now officially named the CKCSC of Southwest Michigan.
